Every year, the NFL drops its list of the top 100 players heading into the NFL season. Current players vote on the list.

Buffalo Bills starting linebacker Matt Milano came in at No. 69 on the list this year. So far, only the first 50 players (numbers 100 through 50) have been announced.

Milano, now the anchor in the middle of the defense after the departure of Tremaine Edmunds, is coming off a season where he finished with 99 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 7 quarterback hits, and also added three interceptions.

Milano was also selected to his first Pro Bowl and chosen as a first-team all-pro for the first time in his career.

Buffalo Bills starting left tackle Dion Dawkins had high praise for the starting linebacker.

“He’s a pro’s pro; in the building, Milano is to the book, on top of the book, every A.P. book, every high honor roll book.”

Milano isn’t just highly regarded among his teammates. Wide receiver Jaylen Waddle of the Miami Dolphins had high praise for the all-pro linebacker.

“Real game wrecker; he’s definitely someone that we highlight and note being around the ball and making plays.”

Milano had a highlight hit last season for the Bills as he came up the middle on a blitz and crushed former Jets starting QB Mike White. Gregory Rousseau, one of his defensive teammates, was in awe of the play.

“It was like a bolt of lightning, it was crazy. It was one of those hits.”

His ability to explode in space and make the tackle at the point of attack has set Milano apart in his career. Taron Johnson believes he is one of the best at that in the league.

“Anytime he has a free opening, you better be prepared.”

Safety Jordan Poyer also made the list, coming in at No. 57. The top 50 on the list have yet to be announced.
